Meet the Artist
Inspiration
Donna Zielinski is a visual artist based in Montreal, Canada. She draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including nature, music, and the people and places that she encounters in her daily life. Her goal is to create art that evokes emotion and tells a story.
Process
I begin each piece with a vision in mind, but allow the materials and my instincts to guide me as I work. I believe that the process of creating art should be just as fulfilling as the finished piece.
Technique
I am a firm believer in the power of experimentation and play in the artistic process. I often incorporate unconventional materials and techniques into my work, which allows me to explore new ideas and push the boundaries of my craft.
Watercolours
Ethereal and sentimental in their quality, Donna’s watercolour works are exacting and accomplished. Sometimes washy and sometimes photorealistic, her art both idealizes and illustrates the scene at hand. As a medium that is never totally controlled or wholly manipulated, Donna is able to express on paper a feeling that is unique to each viewer - in essence, the definition of art.
Graphite
Sometimes, a simple black and white scene speaks volumes. Donna’s photorealistic graphite work adds clean and simple lines to any wall decor needs.
